The arrangement and planning of service deployments occur in the SAP system. Order-relevant information is then automatically transmitted to the service technician. The client is installed on the service technician's mobile device (notebook or PC tablet). It allows master data and order data (e.g., periods, materials consumption, customer and installation information) and freely-configurable information to be entered and synchronized with the head office over the Internet (cell phone/GPRS) or another remote data transmission link. This occurs on the move and independently of location, runtime and availability of the SAP system. The orders and messages to be processed are made available centrally in the SAP system (CS/PM), and can then be transmitted either automatically or by going directly to the technician. If several technicians are involved in a service contract (order processes), they all receive the necessary information. The Management Console built into the SAP RSystem allows the central release and correction of all recorded data. The replacement parts or materials entered in the work order are processed in such a way as to be made directly available at the warehouse and dispatched to the employee or customer. Freely definable customer documents can be directly printed out on site and automatically archived in SAP document management. All data necessary for subsequent invoicing are thus available in the system.
