SAP NetWeaver Portal with UNIORG

SAP NetWeaver Portal is the central entry point to all solutions and data of SAP Business Suite (e.g., SAP CRM or SAP PLM), to external tools and information, to any Internet documents and to third-party systems. The portal is based on the Enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture introduced by SAP (Enterprise SOA), is open and expandable. Thus, users have access to both SAP applications and to products and information sources of third-party suppliers. An essential prerequisite for this is interoperability with IBM Websphere and Mircosoft .NET on the basis of existing interfaces. In detail, SAP NetWeaver offers the following services (selection):

  • Single sign-on (interface to SAP Logon Tickets)
  • individual configuration of the work environment (personalization)
  • task-specific work environment (roles)
  • central user administration
  • browser-based interface with predefined iViews (integrated views) as a window to any applications Contents are provided to users automatically based on their roles, their needs and tasks, e.g., email, calendar functions, etc.
  • Portal interface for mobile solutions, e.g., access to data for field service employees
