Challenging Upgrade

The fact that the Atlas Copco Energas was running two clients on two different locations made the technical upgrade from SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise to SAP ERP 6.0 (including Unicode conversion) an uneasy task. The second client was in fact a system used by Atlas Copco Airtec, located in Antwerp, for which the implementation of SAP MM and SAP PM had been previously initialised. Despite the difficulties brought out by two projects running in parallel, upgrades and implementation of the additional modules were performed with success before the end of the year 2008, as stated by the initial project schedule.
